This is the original version produced in 1976, and sung by Milton Mallawarachchi. At the time it was released this song was a massive hit in the Sri Lankan music industry. According to Melroy Dharmaratne, it was Shiromi Fernando who was originally meant to sing it but somehow it was given to Milton Mallawarachchi. It was released under the Silverline label.
