Overview

Sri Lanka's diverse ethnic communities have lent us a smorgasbord of cuisine. Some these much loved dishes have been adapted by other communities, making a few tweaks to suit their taste or to with the use of more readily available ingredients. This exhibit will take you through the origins of some of these dishes, and version of the same dish that are prepared and enjoyed by people and communities, around the island. If you would like to share a family recipe or regional recipe for one of these dishes do get in touch with us. We would love to include your version on in this exhibit, and see how truly diverse Sri Lankan food can be today.
